Mini Tricou house build progress

6061 T6 Aluminum 1 1/2'' hat channel horizontal furring strips spaced 4' o.c. Metal Sales 7/8 corrugated 26ga. panels will be used and are rated for 66 psf in&out loads on this spacing. I figured thats about 160mph wind rating??, with only 4' in-between furring strips its clear why metal siding kicks ass. Hat channel was sourced at (Aluminum & Stainless) here in New Orleans was only about $1 a foot.

Words of wisdom was said to angle the gold fasteners slightly downward holding the furring strips on to aid in water deflection behind this rain screen. As these 4 3/4'' screws go thru 2'' of polyiso foam board 3/4 plywood and into the 16'' o.c 2x6 pine wall studs, its not to bad to get them spot on.
If you look close you can see the round disk shape covered in black tremco under the lil gold fastener thats the screws and rodenhouse plastic washers designed to hold down the foam board, those screws contact the studs as well agin just in case you lose a panel in a hurricane the foam is securely fastened  16'' o.c. as well
